Michael Buster, son of Claudius and Sarah (Garner) Buster, was born in Russell County, Kentucky in 1825. He was married in about 1846 to Miss Nancy Higginbotham, who was born in Russell County in about 1831, and a daughter of Robert Higginbotham and Mary Wilbourn.
Michael and Nancy had 4 children:
1) Mary Ellen, born 20 Feb 1847, died 11 Nov 1919. She married William Kelsay.
2) Lewis J, born 17 Jan 1849, died 22 Jan 1921. He married Mary Littrell. They are my 3rd great grandparents.
3) Robert H, born in about 1851, died after 1863.
4) Sophia M, born in about 1852, died after 1863.
Michael became a widower in about 1853 when his wife Nancy died. On April 27, 1855, he married Elizabeth Ann Burchett. They had four children:
1) Charles B, born 21 Mar 1856. Married Olive.
2) Josephine, born 15 Oct 1857.
3) Lucy Jane, born 27 Dec 1859.
4) William Michael, born 27 Oct 1862. He married Emeline.
