Albert Clyde Brown, 67, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at his home.
Albert was born August 21, 1942 in Hamlet, NC to the late Albert Parham Brown and Sarah Lillie Hicks.
He was the owner of Beacon Ambulance Service which was later turned over to Wake County and established as Wake County EMS Service. He was active in fundraising for local and state government and served as a city councilman for Atlantic Beach. Over the years he owned serveral successful businesses and helped many people along the way.
He is survived by a son, Gregory Albert Brown and wife Jennifer of Garden Grove, California; a daughter, Sherry Riano and husband Richard of Cary, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Hilary Brown, Jordan Ridge-Riano, Ryan Brown, Parham Ridge-Riano; a brother, Martin Brown of Hamlet, North Carolina; and step-brothers, Michael and Phillip Bray.
