Linda Lou Williams Root was born January 8, 1936 in Boise, Idaho, the daughter of Joe R. Williams and Lauraine Gyllenskog Williams. She attended Lowell School and graduated from Boise High School in the class of 1954.
She married Walter King Root on 30 December 1955.
Linda died 19 February 2013 in a Salt Lake Hospital just days after a serious heart attack while recuperating from elective surgery.
Linda devoted her life to service to her family, her community and her church.
Her survivors are her husband and children, Laurie Clark, Camille Jones, Christopher Root and Scott Root; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger, Neil and Milt Williams; and sisters, Jolaine Winkler and Kristin King.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26th at 11:00 am at the Holladay 26th Ward at 4601 S 2565 E. Holladay, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm the night before at the same location. Interment is to be at the Holladay Memorial Cemetery at 4670 Highland Drive in Holladay.
