From the family Bible records of her sons John Allen of Sumner County, TN, and Robert Allen, Greenwood, Smith County, TN:

Departed this life in the 61 year of his age on the 4th day of November 1811, George Allen also Elizabeth Allen, his wife on the next day November 5th, 1811, the 65 year of her age. Father and Mother of Robert Allen (who records this last tribute to their memory).

George and Elizabeth Allen's obituary was graciously provided by Find A Grave contributor Rebekah Reed. No longer under copyright law, it was printed Saturday, November 9, 1811, in the Carthage Gazette (Carthage, TN); Volume: III, Issue 125, Page 3. In addition to repeating the above information, it also states:

Departed this life at his residence near Carthage, on the 4th instant after a short illness George Allen...and on the day following Elizabeth Allen, his wife and companion for forty years...not merely the victim of disease, though she underwent a painful one, but likewise of her exquisite sensibility in being deprived of her husband. They were both interred in one tomb within twenty-four hours of each other....
