Bennett was born on 07 February 1902 in probably Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine; Sybil Mary Bennett was born on 04 September 1905 in Wentworth Location, Coos County, New Hampshire; and Martha Bennett was born about 1911 in probably Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine.

They lived in what is now the Stranger property, later moving into the Joseph Wilson home. Archie and his brother, Ben, were noted guides, guiding at Flint's Camps and camps on Umbagog Lake. Nora was a good neighbor and had inherited her mother's capabilities as a practical nurse and midwife. She was a member of the Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine Church and Aziscoos Grange. Nora died in Litchfield, Kennebec County, Maine, at the home of her daughter, Sybil, on 11 January 1958. Archie died on 05 October 1968.
