Professional Hockey Player. A native of Timmins, Ontario, he played the position of Center for the Chicago Blackhawks from 1950 to 1951. He had a long minor league career. After retiring from hockey Powell went into coaching with the Kelowna team in the Okanagan Valley League but quit after only two months. He passed away in Kelowna, British Columbia, at the age of 72.
