Henry Davidson? Lance, was the eldest living son of the seven children born to Mahala née Brown and Samuel Lance. He was joined in marriage to Mary Bridget O'Conner on May 11, 1879, in Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. They had eight children together, and remained married until her death in 1908 at the age of 47. He was co-owner of the Cape City Mill in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. It was also referred to as the Stein & Lance Mill. It was destroyed by fire on March 27, 1909. They had no insurance at the time, as he and his business partner were in the process of selling the business. Henry then married the 45 year old widow, Matilda A. (née Flentge) Jordan, on June 3, 1909, in Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. He worked as a watchman later in his life, and passed away at the age of 63. (bio by Jay Lance)
