Donnie was born September 15, 1959, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated in 1978, from Lee's Summit High School and was employed by Colonial Nursery for the past 15 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wonda [sic] Lorenz; and a brother, Ronnie Lorenz. Survivors include his wife, Therese Lorenz, of the home; one stepdaughter, Jensa Niehaus, of the home; his father, Wayne Lorenz, Lee's Summit, MO; mother and father-in-law, Lois and Larry Niehaus, Chillicothe, MO; four brothers, Randy Lorenz, Kansas City, MO, Gary Lorenz and wife Tyra, Independence, MO, and Bill Lorenz, Lee's Summit, MO; a sister and brother-in-law, Jan Hunt and Rusty, Lee's Summit, MO; three nieces, Jenni, Gina, and Heather; and one nephew, Kyle; stepniece, Laura Niehaus and stepnephew, Christopher Niehaus; two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law, all of Independence, MO.
