Richfield, Utah - Our beloved father, grandfather and brother, Charles Terry Carter, age 75, passed away November 19, 2012 in Richfield. He was born March 6, 1937 in Salina, Utah, the oldest of three sons born to Charles Jensen and Bessie Long Carter. The family made their home in Sigurd, Utah.

Terry married Dixie Heaps, of Escalante, Utah, on February 22, 1957 in Ely, Nevada. They were later divorced.

Terry's craft was masonry , along with his love for farming. He loved the outdoors, annual camping trips with his family and taking long drives to Piute County. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his children and grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his children: Terri Linn and Alan Smith of Columbia, Maryland; Tamra Carter of Las Vegas, Nevada; Valerie and Ray Stokes of Wrangell, Alaska; Wade Carter of Fairview; Neal and Karen Carter of Sigurd; Warren (Deceased) and Amber Carter of Annabella; Ryan and Aleta Carter of Elko, Nevada; 30 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jerry Leon and Dixie Carter of Kearns; Johnny R. and Yvonne Carter of Mayfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Warren James Carter; and two grandsons: Taylor Kendell Carter and Justin James Carter.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 12 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Sigurd Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
