I had often wondered what in the world would I do with myself after I retired in 2011 from 46 years of Operating Room Nursing. I didn't have to wonder for very long. As I was trying to organize some of my mothers things after she died, I discovered that she had been working on our family history for some time. She had always wondered what had happened to her mothers family, Gulaczeks, when she immigrated in the early 1900's from the Ukraine. So this first generation American had laid the ground work for me.
This journey has been all consuming. Especially after I discovered Find A Grave. I became even more obsessed. This "hobby" is very time consuming.

October 2016:
Since submitting this bio I have changed my mind on a few things regarding my original feelings about FAG and entering memorials. As I was delving into the Cave Hill Cemetery Registry of Internments here in Louisville, I was finding, time after time, that the whole list of surnames were not entered in the FAG database. I pondered what to do for a good while, then decided that I would complete the list. At least they would be there in case someone was searching for a relative. I will transfer in or out of the FAG guidelines.

Also, I have gotten caught up in making sure there are photos on all those I have entered. It is very time consuming to manage these lists and maximize every trip I make to CH, sometimes 2-3 times a week taking a hundred or more photos each time. So a large number of the memorials I have added have become shabbily neglected.
