Actor. Born in Jacksonville, Illinois into a family of three siblings to a farmer, he began dance lessons at the age of seven. He earned a scholarship at the University of Illinois and continued his study until being drafted into the United State Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged with the ranking of Sergeant. He began his entertainment career in 1945, in the Broadway theatrical show “The Red Mill”, which he would later go on tour with. In 1953 actress Marilyn Monroe personally picked him to play a small part as her boyfriend in the motion picture “Niagara”. After receiving minor roles in the following years, he went to Germany and played parts in three successful movies- “The Simple Girl”, “Casino de Paris”, and “The Evening in the Scala”. He returned to the United States in 1964 and worked as a nightclub dancer. He moved to Kentucky in the 1980's to be near his relatives, and died at the age of 76.
