Promoted to full Major 31 Aug 1861. Promoted to full Lt. Colonel 3 Sep 1861. Mustered out 4 Aug 1861. Commissioned an officer in Company S, Indiana 11th Infantry Regiment on 31 Aug 1861. Mustered out 3 Sep 1862. Report of the Adjutant General of the State of Indiana.

Enlistment date 7 Dec 1863 as Lt. Colonel. Commissioned an officer in Company S, Indiana 107th Infantry Regiment 13 Jul 1863. Mustered out 18 Jul 1863.


Daughter Nancy Elizabeth married first Samuel A. Cramer. Nancy married second Emanuel Cramer. Nancy Cramer died in Ellis County, Texas 28 Dec 1914.
