Musician. A trumpeter, he began his career during the "big band" era and later encompassed pop music and other genres, as he established himself as one of the most sought after sessions musicians of the 1960s and 1970s. He got his start in radio, while still in high school and acquired valuable experience as a member of bandleader Horace Heidt's ensemble. After relocating to Hollywood, Terran began a lengthy association with Desi Arnaz and earned the distinction as being a member of his band during the run of the TV series "I Love Lucy". This led to work in films which included the Elvis Presley pictures "Fun in Acapulco" (1963) and "Easy Come, Easy Go". In 1966, Terran recorded his own album project "The Songs Been Sung". During the 1960s, he became part of the ensemble of musicians known as "The Wrecking Crew" and contributed to "Jan and Dean's Pop Symphony" (1965), "Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones Ltd." (1967) and "Head" (1968), by "The Monkees", among many others. He also served as a studio musician for the entire run of "The Carol Burnett Show" (1967 to 1978). Additionally, he contributed to the Frank Sinatra single "I Will Wait For You" (1966) and the John Lennon recording of "To Know Her Is To Love Her" (1973). As a member of "The Wrecking Crew", he was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2007.
