Rock Musician. Hashian was a rock drummer who played on Boston's first two hit albums, including their self-titled debut in 1976 featuring the hit song 'More Than a Feeling' and their second album, 'Don't Look Back'. The original band, which included Hashian, had one of the most successful debut records in history, selling over 17 million copies, with the singles 'Long Time' and 'Peace of Mind'. After leaving the band before it completed recording its 'Third Stage' album, Hashian played drums for Boston bandmate Barry Goudreau's self-titled 1980 solo album, which spawned the hit 'Dreams'. Hashian, who went on to play off and on in other bands including Ernie and the Automatics and would also became a business owner of a record shop as well as a chain of tanning parlors, collapsed and died while performing aboard a cruise ship which was scheduled to visit Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
