He studied at California State University in Fresno, prior to launching his career in radio, followed by television. His break came in 1960, when he took over announcing duties for the game show "Queen For a Day". He worked extensively during the 1970s and will be most identifiable for his announcing on the game shows "Tattletales", "Password All-Stars"and "Name That Tune". He announced the Bob Hope specials "Bob Hope's All-Star Comedy Spectacular from Lake Tahoe" (1977) and "The Bob Hope Christmas Special" (1978). Among his other shows include "Press Your Luck" and "American Gladiators".
