English Singer and Songwriter. Skellern, who was a pianist, began recording in the 1970s and went on to release over a dozen albums over the course of his career. Trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he played the organ at church during his early years and later joined the pop groups Harlem and March Hare. In 1972, he had his first hit song with 'You're a Lady', which reached number three on the UK Singles Chart and number 50 in the United States Billboard Hot 100. The following year, Brigitte Bardot and Laurent Vergez would record a French version of the song. Skellern would also have a hit in 1975 with 'Hold On to Love' and another hit with ‘Love is the Sweetest Thing’ in 1978. He also sang the theme song to the TV series 'Billy Liar' and he also wrote the lyrics to 'One More Kiss, Dear' for the 1982 film 'Blade Runner'.
