JoAnne enjoyed quilting, cooking, adventure and traveling the world. She was strong willed and independent and those qualities allowed her to be a wonderful teacher and excel at whatever she did.
Survivors include her husband, Mark; her sons, Mackenzie (Meredith) of Minneapolis, Kristopher of Ames, Iowa; her mother, Dorothy Tupy of Northfield; her sister, Margaret (Mark) Detlie of Northfield; her brothers, David (Judy) Tupy of New Market, Paul (Joan) Tupy of Northfield; her nephews and nieces, Michael (Beth) Tupy, Jill (Tyler) Morin, Sara (Tom) Holzer, Anne (Joe) Mundell, Eric Tupy; great-nephews and great-nieces, Lauren, Ryan, Kate, Lola, Audrey, Ethan and Ezme. She was preceded in death by her father.
JoAnne passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014, at her home in Minneapolis, at the age of 48.
