In 1925 he appeared in 63 games for the American League Pennant winning Senators, and played in two World Series games that year (which saw the Pirates defeat the Senators 4 games to 2). The next year he was an utility infielder for the Yankees, and played in 26 regular season games as the Yankees took the AL Pennant. He again appeared in two World Series games for the eventual Series loser, as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated his Yankees 4 games to 3.
