Actress. Born Astrid Alice Evelyn Christofferson, the daughter of Swedish emigrants, she was a Broadway performer in the 1920s, making her film debut in "The Girl From Calgary" (1932). Before retiring in 1944 to raise her family, she appeared in many films to include "Hello, Sister!" (1933), "Servants Entrance" (1934), "One More Spring" (1935), "Follow The Fleet" (1936), "Dimples" (1936), "Love Affair" (1939) and "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (1939).
