Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ana Stewart, 84, who died unexpectedly Saturday night at her residence, 1917 Sumter St., will be conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the Dunbar Funeral Home by the Rev. Fred V. Poag, pastor of the Shandon Presbyterian Church and the Rev. T. Robert Fulton, pastor of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Stewart, the widow of Julius Edgar Stewart, had been in declining health for about a year, but had been seriously ill for only one day.

She was the daughter of the late John Edwin and Eliza Trawler Lambeth of Greensboro, N. C. She and her husband, who died in 1951, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1945. They had lived in Columbia for 50 Years.

Mrs. Stewart was a member of Shandon Presbyterian Church, a charter member of the Order of Eastern Star and a charter member of the G.I.A. to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, serving as installing marshal for 16 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs., Edna Stewart Brownlee of Columbia; two sons, S. I. Stewart, Sr., of Greensboro and John Edwin Stewart of Columbia; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Drake Edens Jr., O. V. Taylor, Ed Taylor, Ernest Bowie, Melvin Jonas and R. P. Hart.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, member of the Men's Bible Class of Shandon Presbyterian Church and Dr. William Pitts, Dr. Lewis Pitts, Dr. Bothwell Graham and Claude P. Davis Sr.
