A. Frank Landuyt, age 80 of Marengo, formerly of the Brooklyn area, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Brooklyn Community Estate in Brooklyn following an extended illness.
Private family services were held on Saturday, August 19. Burial was in the Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be contributed to Amenity Hospice in his name. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Margie of Marengo; four sons, Steven (Marcia) of North Liberty, Richard of Downey, Calif., Greg (Nancy) of Greenfield, Ind., and Jeff (Kari) of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Darlene Kasal (Darrel) of Belle Plaine; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Daniel.
Aime Frank Landuyt was born January 29, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Rene and Hortense DeSmet Landuyt. He received his education in the Guernsey area schools. He married Margie Ann Lyman on May 19, 1946 at the Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn. Frank was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for the Iowa County Road Department for over 30 years. He was a member of the I.O.O.F
