From Lewis Walker of Chester Valley and his Descendants, 1896, pages 40-44:

Daniel Walker (son of Lewis and Mary (Morris) Walker), was born at Radnor, Penna., 26 Feb. 1694, died at Tredyffrin Township, Chester Co., Penna. in 1772. He married Lydia Barnard, daughter of Richard Barnard, who came from Sheffield, England, in the year 1682, and settled in Middletown, Delaware Co., Penna. (See Smith's "History of Delaware County.") Daniel Walker took his bride to a farm given him by his father ... here he resided many years, until his death. Daniel was but twenty-one years old when he married... His wife died in the year 1774 ... evidently living in Coventry Township, Chester Co. with her son-in-law James Thomas ... Daniel and Lydia had 8 children:
(1) Lewis Walker, born 1716, probably died young.
(2) Rebecca Walker, born 1717, married Jacob Thomas on 19 March 1742. [born 30 Jun 1720 according to Quaker records]
(3) Deborah Walker, born 1722, married James Thomas of Coventry 16 Dec. 1758.
(4) Enoch Walker, born 1724, probably died young.
(5) Daniel Walker, born 1731.
(6) Zillah Walker, born 1732, married first, Thomas Maule; second Joshua Brown.
(7) Beulah Walker, born 1734, married Samuel Richards.
(8) Jacob Walker, born 1736, married Ruth Thomas.

The parents of his wife Lydia Barnard Walker (1696-1774) were Original To America Quakers Richard & Frances Barnard #139643377, the 3rd Great Grandparents of President Abraham Lincoln, these are his Quaker roots which settled in Chester and Delaware Counties PA. Many of the Barnard descendants were abolitionists active on the Underground Railroad and Anti-slavery efforts culminating with their cousin Abraham Lincoln issuing Emancipation Proclamation and the 13th Amendment.
