Mrs. Peck was struck by a train near the Riverdale, Maryland station of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Her son, Edward Watts, identified her body and told police that she had been despondent since the death of her second husband, Henry Peck, the prior fall. The coroner ruled her death a suicide.
