OGDEN - Ace W. Anderson passed away Thursday, May 4, 2000 at Manor Care Nursing Center while recovering from hip surgery.
He was born January 10, 1912 in Richmond, Utah, a son of Alvin and Mary Elisabeth Anderson.
Ace married Edith Green on January 10, 1934 in the Logan LDS Temple. Edith passed away November 2, 1998.
He lived in Richmond and Logan before moving to Ogden in 1936.
Ace was a High Priest in the Memorial Park LDS Ward in Ogden for many years before moving to the Summerhaze Ward in Layton where he resided with his daughter.
He was a worker, always having multiple jobs. He delivered soft drinks and linens, and worked at Safeway, Hill Air Force Base, and most recently, the Ogden Clinic where he finally retired at the age of 80.
Surviving are his daughter, Joan (Ben) Jewkes, Layton; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Ace was preceded in death by his wife and his son, Richard A. Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, with Bishop Greg Sanders officiating.
