Peacefully at Fairhaven Nursing Home on Monday, May 26th, 2014 in her 98th year. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Predeceased by her husband George (1967), her parents William and Charlotte Doney. Devoted Mother of Marion Jessup (Larry Parent) of Oshawa and Gordon (Ellie) of Peterborough. Cherished Nanny of Rhonda Jessup (Rob Wiersma), Trevor Jessup (Melanie), Chad Steele (Erin) and Troy Steele (Melissa). Great Grandma of Emily and Sarah Wiersma and Cameron and Mya Jessup. Celia is survived by her brother Alan and Mervin (Diana) Doney and sister Inez Barker and in laws Audrey and Edith Doney and Elmer Spence. Predeceased by brothers Emerson and Murray and sisters Hazel Kinder, Helen Spence and Doris Rutledge and in laws George Kinder, Alice Doney, Harry Rutledge and Alan Barker. A Funeral Service will held in the Chapel of Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. A Private Family interment will be held at a later date at Grace Cemetery, Maynooth, ON. Donations to Fairhaven Home, the Canadian Cancer Society, Celiac Association Peterborough Branch, or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
