OBITUARY
Bobby Dee Griffey
Roy - Bobby Dee Griffey, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born on August 11, 1937 in Gray Ridge, MO, to Dee and Alta Griffey.

He graduated from High school and then joined the Air Force. He was stationed in Japan and Mountain Home, Idaho.

He was an electronic technician on flight simulators and traveled throughout the world. He then retired from Hill AFB in 1993. He was also a licensed pilot.

He married the love of his life, Bunny (Jetty Lynn) Duffy on November 20, 1958
at Mtn. Home AFB. They have lived in Roy for 49 years.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a hard worker and was always going out of his way to help others. He was the man to call whenever you had a problem or needed help - Bobby could fix anything!

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Roy, the Golden Spike Lodge #6, and the Scottish Rite.

He enjoyed going to garage sales and the pawn shop looking for things he just couldn't live without. He spent many mornings getting coffee with his buddies at McDonalds where they debated and solved all of the world's problems. His canine companion, Buddy, was always by his side or on his lap.

He is survived by his wife, Bunny, of 53 years. His children are Robert (Adrianna) Griffey, Jonathan Griffey, Alan Griffey, April (John) Turner, and Jennifer (Jerid) Anderson. He has 6 grandchildren, Amy (Brock) Olsen, Melodee Griffey (Jason) Keith, Laura (Jason) Bown, Dani Hall, Samantha Hall and Kaden Anderson. He also has 5 great-grand kids, Gage, Kiya and Trey Olsen, Mason Keith and Mavrick Bown. They all loved and cherished him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Regina of Loveland, Co.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to the family at Myers Mortuary in Roy at 5865 S 1900 W on Sunday, May 6th from 6-8 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 7th at 1:00 pm. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Roy, Utah at 5560 S 2300 W.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bobby's honor to the Roy Hillside Senior Center or to a charitable organization of your choice.
