Delia Marcella Thorp Emerick, age 92 years, of Linglestown was the daughter of Jim and Teresa (Locke) Thorp of French Camp, CA. Marcella was a retired music teacher for Central Dauphin School Distirct and an author of family and local historical materials.
She is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Arden W. Emerick III, of Harrisburg; two daughters,Gretchen A. Franke of Batavia, NY and Janette Emerick-Brothers of Haymarket, VA; four grandchildren, Matthew Franke, Michele Barringer, Tonya Ledbetter and Virginia Brothers; and one great-grandchild, Leo Franke-Singer.
In leiu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Thomas United Church of Christ Church, Linglestown.
