Norma Jean Wagstaff Johnson passed away peacefully Thursday, July 6, 2017.

She was born August 18, 1932 in Tabiona, Utah to Afton Dixon and Duery Dermont Wagstaff. Her early years were spent in Provo and Orem, Utah. She graduated from Provo High School and LDS Seminary in 1951.

On April 17, 1953, Norma married the love of her life, Jay Lorus Johnson, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with five children who loved her dearly.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Norma is survived by her loving husband, Jay, their children, Lori Rose, Jay Ladd (Tammy) Johnson, Jerry Dixon (Sandy) Johnson, Lisa Renee (Brent) Odenwalder, Jeffery Warren (Jill) Johnson, 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Donna Olsen.

The family wishes to thank Applegate Home Health Care, especially Jeri, for all of their loving care. Also, the dedicated staff at McKay-Dee Hospital and Stonehenge Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Roy Central Stake Center, 4900 South 2000 West. The family will meet with friends Tuesday, July 11th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
