Henry Brown was the son of Hezekiah Brown (c. 1773-1845/6) and Delilah Currence Brown. Henry and his first wife Susan Pilcher were married May 3, 1832 in Fayette Co., IL, and they lived in Otego Township. Their children were Winnaford (1834-before 1858), George (born 1836) and Margaret (1839-1893). Henry and his second wife, Ann August (1819-1899) were married Nov. 22, 1841 in Fayette Co; they had a daughter Susan (b. 1842). Henry served in the Black Hawk War.
