South Weber – Calvin Thales Waters, 88 died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 after a short illness.

He was born April 24, 1927 in Monroe, Utah, a son of Arthur and Eldora Serilda Anderson Waters.

He was raised and educated in Monroe and moved to Ogden as a young man.

Calvin married Georgia Lee Christopherson on April 16, 1945 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah LDS Temple.

Calvin was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army in Bremerhaven, Germany.

Calvin was a self-made man. He started Calvin Waters & Sons Construction, where he subdivided and developed parts of South Weber.

Calvin was an active High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully in many callings including a missionary while a Seventy.

Together, he and Georgia raised six children, four sons: Douglas (Lynn), Dennis (Leslie), Eugene (Susan), Doyle (Debi) and two daughters, Janet (Ross) Gardiner and Georgia (Sheldon) Cox. He has 30 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Georgia passed away in 1991.

In 1992, Calvin married Mada Lurae Waldron Stanger in Ogden, Utah. This marriage brought him another family including: Marilyn (Dave) Buelo, Lurae Stanger, Diane (Tim) Mendenhall, David (Suzanne), Gary (Michelle), Roger, Ron (Cherie), 24 step grandchildren and 41 step great-grandchildren.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Mada Waters, and his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Georgia, sister, Ivy and three brothers, Forrest, Deon, and Marlin.

Interment at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd, South Ogden, Utah.
