Susan (or Susanna) was the daughter of Andrew and Barbara Straub. She married Paul Crawford in Circleville, OH. He died in 1847 and is buried in Waldo, OH. She and their eight children moved to Illinois in about 1852 or 1853. Family legend has it that she lived south of what is now the Agronomy Research Center of U of I, Otego Township of Fayette Co., IL.
