William and Mary Crawford also had a son Silas Crawford, who married Anneliza Nichols. He was a veteran of the 66th OVI as was his young son Thomas whom was a drummer for the regiment at the age of 9 years. Silas lived for a while in Wyandot County, Ohio but spent the latter years of his life in Toledo where he was also a Baptist minister.
I descend from his older brother Calvin C. Crawford who took his family from Waldo area to Brown County, Illinois where his wife's oldest brother , Jacob C. Moses was living. Calvin died there in 1850 and his widow, Elizabeth Moses Crawford brought her family back to Waldo in about 1858 and in 1864 moved to Henry County, Ohio. My great-grand aunt, Arletta Crawford Russell, had copies of Silas and Anneliza's obituaries from Toledo newspapers in a box of family pictures and obituaries.
