Claude Allen Brown, 46, commercial artist who had lived in Memphis 20 years, died at 5 p.m. Sunday at Methodist Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Browning was born in Sharon, Tenn., and was a World War II Veteran. He lived at 4655 White Fox in Whitehaven. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a Mason.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Verna Jane Browning; two daughters, Miss Patsy Browning and Mrs. Mary Jane McKinna of Whitehaven; his brother, Hart Browning of Memphis, and two sisters.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at Memphis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
