That it was her practice to have a cold bath every morning was stated at the inquest at Taunton yesterday on Mrs. Elizabeth Margaret Ewing, aged 88, who inadvertently turned on the hot water tap and scalded her feet. She died on Sunday morning from heart failure, accelerated by the shock of scalding. Mrs. Ewing was the widow of Col. Alexander Ewing, Army Pay Department, and daughter of the late Rev. Anthony Cumby, formerly vicar of Bolton-on-Swale, Yorks. She was a highly esteemed Taunton resident and for a number of years a valued member of the borough Education Committee.
