After many years of battling illness, Julie Lyn Steed Hansen passed away peacefully at her home on March 5, 2015 with her sweetheart, Reed M. Hansen, by her side.

Julie had a tremendous love for children. She worked for approximately eighteen years as a teaching assistant for preschool children with disabilities through the Uintah School District.

Julie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent her life serving her brothers and sisters in her ward and her community in every way she could.

Julie left a legacy of love, service, compassion, and joy. After spending several years gracing the stage in musical productions, Julie turned her attention to teaching and vocal coaching. Julie has taught numerous voice students throughout her life.

As a vocal coach, Julie was an integral member of the production team at Uintah High School while Reed was teaching. This incredibly talented team created numerous musicals that the Vernal community enjoyed for many years.
