WILLIAMS, CAROL (KINBERGER) SAMS BURTON, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 4, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born to the late Sylvester "Dutch" and Regina (Herbig) Kinberger in Louisville on July 24, 1940. She grew up in Germantown on Goss Avenue across from the Cotton Mill. She had a wonderful childhood with great loving parents and extended family. She lived in Springfield, MO, Grand Rapids, MO and Louisville. She raised six children, (her trophies in life) and was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, caregiver and grandmother. She was our inspiration in life.

She enjoyed the family sitting around and telling stories, traveling and dining with friends and family, loved to play games with the grandkids, attending kids and grandkids activities, enjoyed line dancing with friends, the holiday talent shows and white elephant exchanges. She had a beautiful smile, laugh and always willing to help anyone in need. You could always count on Carol. Carol was a spiritual person and always gave glory to God for helping her through difficult times. She said she could testify that God was present with us. He provided us with strength, comfort, provision, and love. She was a member of Ormsby Heights Baptist Church and Southeast Christian Church. She owned Christian Yellow Pages, worked for Ben Snyder's, Dillards, Data Guard, and L.P. Chick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Jack Sams and second husband Larry Burton.

She is survived by her loving husband, two sons, four daughters, six grandchildren and a step-grandson. She is also survived by her husband's children and grandchildren, and two loving sisters.

Funeral services will be held noon Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 2 - 8 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy to the donors charity of choice. The family wishes to thank all of the nursing and dietary staff at Baptist East and her doctors.
