Herman L. Allen, 89, of Lower Paxton Twp. died yesterday in Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
He was a former route salesman for Lenkerbrook Farms; a member, elder and deacon of St. Thomas United Church of Christ, Linglestown, where he had held various other offices; and was a member of Linglestown Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred L. Vanatta Allen; a son, Wayne V. of Harrisburg; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at noon Tuesday in Hoover Funeral Home, Lower Paxton Twp. Burial will be in Wenrich's Cemetery, Linglestown. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of his church, 6490 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg 17112.
