The second daughter of General Charles and Yvonne de Gaulle, married to the commander Alain de Boissieu (1914 - 2006), on January 2, 1946. Religious marriage took place the following day in the chapel of the missionary brothers of Our Lady of Sion in Paris. In 1959 they had a daughter, Anne. From 1979 to 1988, she chaired the Anne de Gaulle Foundation, a charity for mentally handicapped girls founded by her parents in memory of their elder daughter, who died at the age of 20.
