DALLAS -- Richard W. Swinney, 54, formerly of Abilene, died Feb. 10 in Dallas.

Services were held Feb. 12 in Calvary Hill Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Honea officiating. Entombment was in Calvary Hill Mausoleum, directed by Rhoton Funeral Home of Carrollton.

Mr. Swinney was born in Gorman and lived in Abilene for five years. He worked for Abilene Ag Ford-New Holland.

Survivors include his wife, Peg Swinney; six children, Greg Swinney of San Angelo, Mike Swinney of Everman, Ron Swinney of Pecos, Keith Tichenor of Montrose, Colo., Kelly Jones of Dallas and Chip Jones of Garland; and one brother, Fred Swinney of Largo, Fla.
