TARTER, MARIAN, 96, of Treyton Oak Towers, died Saturday, December 13, 2008. She was the former Marian Turner Cundiff, born September 1, 1912 in Upton, KY. She was an elder in the Presbyterian Church, a member of Second Presbyterian Church, the Women's Club of Louisville, Chapter B, P. E. O. Sisterhood, Fincastle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the alumni association of Northwestern University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis B. Tarter in January 2001. She is survived by her son, C. Bruce Tarter of Alamo, CA; her daughter, Penn Morton of Anchorage, AK; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10 a.m-noon Tuesday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the memorial fund at Second Presbyterian Church or charity of choice.
