Mrs George W Carder
Mrs Cordella E Carder, 75, RD 3, Bedford Road, died this morning in Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient two weeks. She had been in ill health one year. A native of Shaft, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Louise (Hayes) Long. Mrs Carder was a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, George W Carder; two sons, George J and Lewis E Carder, both of Mt Savage; four daughters, Mrs Lee Iliff, Mt Savage; Mrs Clarence Finzel, Mt Savage Road; Mrs Wayne Lough, Miami, Fla and Mrs Jack Nixon, Bedford Road; three brothers, Marshal Long, Charleston, W Va; Leslie Long, Potomac Park and George Long, Frostburg; a sister, Mrs Granville LaCates, Dover, Del; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home, Baltimore Avenue, where the family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home tomorrow at 8 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated on Saturday in 9 a.m. at St Patrick's Catholic church and interment will be in St Michael's Cemetery, Frostburg.
