DUNDEE/BATH - Keith M. Cagle, 22, of Rock Stream, formerly of Bath and Dundee, died unexpectedly Monday (Sept. 4, 2006) at home.

Keith was born Aug. 16, 1984 in Bath, the son of Billy G. and Wendy L. Howell Cagle Jr.

Keith was a star athlete, he excelled in football, baseball and basketball, and was awarded the MVP for Baseball at Dundee Central School in 2000. He finished his high school education at Haverling Central School, where as quarterback of the Haverling Rams, he took the team to two New York State Class B Semi-finals. He was awarded the Class B Sec. 5 MVP Award in 2002. He graduated in 2003. He attended Alfred State College before transferring to Wyo-Tech in Blairsville, Pa., where he graduated in 2005 with a diploma in auto body restoration.

A former employee of Smart Systems, Fagan's Furniture and Advanced Auto, all in Bath, and Howell Home Improvements of Dundee, he was currently employed by Sunrise Insulation & Excavation in Dundee.

He is loved and will be dearly missed by his mother, Wendy L. (Gene Thompson) Cagle of Rock Stream; his father, Billy G.(Tina) Cagle Jr. of Bath; three sisters Jamie M. Cagle of Lakemont, Trisha L. Howell of Dundee and Lindsay Smith of Bath; maternal grandfather, Kenneth F. Howell, and maternal grandmother, Anna M. Howell, both of Dundee; paternal grandmother, Lois A. Cagle of Avoca; a niece, Jaedyn J. Brewer of Dundee; several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and countless friends.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water St., Dundee, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Marion Massecar officiating.

Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests memorial contributions be made in his memory to start a football scholarship. Contributions may be sent to Debbie.
